Total Waste Removal is a provider of waste/rubbish removal services to Hampshire and the surrounding areas. We have worked with Total Waste Removal before, helping them achieve their ISO 9001 certification in 2018. They recently contacted the ISO Accelerator team again to enquire about getting their ISO 14001 certification, and we were only too delighted to help!

What is ISO 14001 certification?

ISO 14001 is an international standard that demonstrates that a company is working to particular environmental standards. To do this, it lays out a framework that a company, like Total Waste Removal, can follow. Many companies opt to integrate this standard into their existing ISO 9001 standard to help them complete organisational goals.

How will it impact their business?

With this valuable environmental certification under their belts, Total Waste Removal are far more likely to win bigger, more high-profile jobs with blue chip clients who deal with high quality and widely accepted products and services! It was a pleasure to work with Total Waste Removal again to help them achieve this.

ISO 14001 Certification

As we announced last month, ISO Accelerator now provides a fast-track ISO 14001 certification service for organisations in the UK.

But what is ISO 14001 certification, and how does it benefit the businesses who achieve it?

What it means to be ISO 14001 certified

ISO 14001 is the internationally-recognised standard for environmental management systems. When implementing an environmental management system (EMS) within an organisation, it is usually desirable to apply for ISO 14001 certification, since this accreditation serves as evidence that you follow the correct processes and procedures in order to minimise your company's impact on the environment.

The benefits of ISO 14001 certification

As an ISO 14001 certified organisation, your company will enjoy the following benefits:

  • Increased Consumer Trust - Customers and clients will be more inclined to choose you over similar suppliers, since your 'ISO 14001 certified' status marks you out as an environmentally-conscious choice.

  • New Business - In addition to the above, some contracts in certain sectors are only available to suppliers with ISO 14001 status, so your environmental management system may well open some new doors that were closed to your company in the past.

  • Reduced Waste - By implementing an EMS that conforms to ISO 14001 requirements, you will reduce wastage within your organisation, thus lowering costs as well as reducing your environmental impact.

ISO Accelerator has been accredited by USAS to provide certification for ISO 14001.

ISO 14001 Environmental Management System

Following the successful launch of our USAS-accredited fast track ISO 9001 certification programme, we are pleased to announced that ISO Accelerator has now been accredited by USAS to provide ISO 14001 certification services in the UK.

This means that, in addition to helping you achieve ISO 9001 certification for your quality management system (QMS), we can now also help you to get certification for your environmental management system (EMS).

What is ISO 14001?

ISO 14001 is the international standard for environmental management systems. An EMS is a set of processes that reduces waste and minimises the environmental impact of an organisation and its operations. Gaining ISO 14001 certification is the best way to demonstrate to consumers that your company works hard to be environmentally friendly.

In order to meet USAS requirements and provide this service to UK organisations, we at ISO Accelerator had to meet a strict set of internationally-recognised standards. USAS apply these standards to ensure that accredited certification bodies maintain their high standards in other territories.

Our website will be updated shortly to reflect this achievement and the fact that we now provide this additional service. In the meantime, if you're the owner of a UK-based organisation and you're looking to achieve ISO 14001 certification, please get in touch to find out how we can help you to make this process as quick, as affordable, and as easy as possible.
